Dr. Lucy Wallace, Atlanta Breast Care Specialists
Lucy B. Wallace, MD, FACS

Dr. Lucy Wallace joined our practice in October 2017. She practiced general surgery, with a special interest in endocrine and breast surgery, for 6 years before committing her practice entirely to breast care. She has a very personal connection to caring for our patients, as both her mother and grandmother have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her family’s journey was a primary driver for choosing a career in medicine, with breast surgical oncology as her specialty. She is very attuned to the concerns of patients who may be at high risk for developing breast cancer. Dr. Wallace has a warm bedside manner. She typically calls her patients on the evening before surgery and provides them with her personal cell phone number.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Wallace earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her medical degree from University of Miami. She completed her general surgery residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2010. In 2016, she returned to University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed her fellowship in breast surgical oncology.

Dr. Wallace is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member if Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

When away from the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, visiting family at Florida beaches, gardening and watching college football. She is learning to like exercise
